Yes, with your help YOU were the driving force in the passage of PROP A. True, it was a broad coalition of a State Senator, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, politicians, political parties, unions, the Labor Counsel, associations, clubs, and anonymous donors who made this happen. With a favorable vote of over 65%, Prop A passed handily. Open Enrollment is over and HSS is processing the paperwork. Rates and Benefits will take effect on Jan.1, 2023. One of the major issues that will be addressed in 2023 is mental health. A friendly reminder to stay well during the winter months.
SAN FRANCISCO EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT BOARD SYSTEM (SFERS)
Most markets rebounded from mid-October lows led by US and Europe’s positive performance. For the month of October SFERS saw a gain of 1.22%. As of October 31, 2022, SFERS total fund value was $32.67 Billion. For the Fiscal Year, SFERS investment return is -1.62%.
With the many Economic and Geopolitical dangers impacting today’s Financial Markets SFERS will continue to monitor and manage risk exposures by identifying opportunities to achieve comparable returns at lower risk. SFERS will continue to evaluate long-term growth vs short/midterm headwinds.
