The HSS Board will be holding its regular August meeting this Thursday, Aug. 8 at 1 pm at City Hall in Room 416 It is open to the public. You are invited to attend in person, or online via links below.

The transition plan to Blue Shield CA for city and county retirees is the last item on the agenda that day. Unfortunately, POB and our coalition partners did not prevail in our attempts to keep United Healthcare as one of our retiree healthcare options. We are asking our members to attend the meeting, not only to bear witness, but to ask any final questions or voice their dissent, and to find out how to document any problems you may have in transitioning to the new healthcare plan.

The transition document is linked here: August 8, 2024 BSC MAPD PPO Transition Plan.pdf (sfhss.org)

We’ve also downloaded a copy on our website here.

We have also created a form on our website for you to document any problems you are having during the transition. If your doctor won’t accept Blue Shield CA, let us know. If your current healthcare protocol isn’t covered, let us know.

The fight isn’t over yet, but we must gather information to help us in our research.
